The weather is always great to take a ride on the train. Departing several times daily from Historic Downtown Branson, this is a peaceful and relaxing experience for all.
For a look at the quirky, weird, amazing, and absurd, be sure to check out Ripley’s Odditorium where you can decide if you “Believe It Or Not!” Featuring things you won’t see anywhere else, don’t miss the fun. While you’re at it, be sure to head down the road to the Hollywood Wax Museum. This is a favorite for everyone in the family. Featuring replicas from your favorite Hollywood legends, to Presidents, don’t miss the chance to get your picture taken next to your favorite. There is also a great Hollywood themed miniature golf course next door, and a house of mirrors for all the family to enjoy.
The Butterfly Palace & Rainforest Adventure takes you on a family expedition exploring nature and the beauty of butterflies in an educational and interactive setting. Featuring special exhibits for summer and the holidays, get the camera ready because you’re going to want it.
No visit to Branson should go without visiting the Titanic Museum. When you board this huge two-story replica of the doomed ship you receive a Boarding Pass and assume the identity of one of the passengers on board during that fateful trip. You must discover more about who you are as you gaze at the artifacts and collections gathered from the bottom of the sea, and from real survivors or their families. When you reach the end of your journey you will find out your fate on a large wall listing every crew member and passenger. This is a historical journey you will remember for a lifetime.
Speaking of museums, check out the World’s Largest Toy Museum. Featuring thousands of toys from the 1800’s through today, the collection of dolls, trains, and collectibles is truly one of a kind. You’ll relive your childhood at every turn, and the younger generation will get to share in things that were popular when you were a kid. What’s old is new again at this great attraction.
For a taste of adventure and family fun, The Track Family Fun Parks feature 4 locations around Branson including Go-Karts, Laser Tag, Skycoasters, and more. Their newest addition is a giant ferris wheel that was once located at Navy Pier in Chicago. With state-of-the-art laser lights synchronized to music, this attraction offers one of the best views of town. If getting wet is what you want, White Water will not disappoint. You’re sure to get soaked on the giant slides and wave pool, or choose to relax and watch all the action while enjoying some great food and beverages.
Shepherd Of The Hills offers a ride up to the top of their giant Inspiration Tower overlooking the rolling Ozarks above Branson, homestead tours, an outdoor theater, and a historical look back to the beginnings of Branson and a simpler time. Further down the road, Silver Dollar City is an Award Winning Top 10 family theme park that offers rides, shows, great restaurants, and tons of fun for kids and adults alike.
One of the newest attractions to the Branson area is the National Tiger Sanctuary, located just 10 minutes north of Branson and 20 minutes south of Springfield, this great attraction offers 3 daily tours Wednesday-Saturday to see the beautiful cats that live here up close and personal. It is one of the best opportunities around to get a better appreciation of these beautiful animals.
If you’re looking for some more indoor fun, Branson has 2 great places to see the latest Hollywood movies. The Branson Meadows Cinema 11 features the latest movies for the entire family. Located in The Shoppes At Branson Meadows, this is always a great place to relax and enjoy some great entertainment. If giant screen adventures are more your style, the largest IMAX screen in the Region is found right here in Branson. The newly remodeled Branson’s IMAX Entertainment Complex features a six-story tall screen with hourly IMAX films during the day, and a featured Hollywood film every night. They’ve even got shopping and dining choices right under the same roof.
