Hiking

If experiencing the beauty and serenity of Mother Nature in the Ozarks is something you want to do on your stay here, Branson will not disappoint. There is a beautiful Lakeside Wilderness Hiking Trail that runs along a serene and quiet portion of Lake Taneycomo. It is part of a Branson city park and the entrance is located on the main Highway 76 strip so it is easy to find. You can also enjoy the Table Rock Lakeshore Trail at the new Dewey Short Visitors Center on Table Rock Lake. The trail is just over 2 miles long and is a nice walk to the beautiful Showboat Branson Belle, and is accessible to bikes, skateboards, and wheelchairs.

The Mark Twain National Forest has over 75,000 acres located in Stone and Taney Counties. There are many hiking and backpacking trails available in the forest. For more information go to http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/forests/marktwain/
